I am an Associate Professor in Legal Theory at the Law Department of the University of Amsterdam.
My research interests lies in the fields of political and legal philosophy and public policy, especially contemporary liberal theories of justice and their application in in plural and multicultural societies, and issues of global justice.
I am the co-editor of a book on Cosmopolitanism in Context: Perspectives from International Law and political Theory (Cambridge University Press, 2010).
I work on a book manuscript entiteld Luck-Egalitarian Multiculturalism: A Nonideal Elaboration of the Egalitarian Ideal.
In 2008 and 2009 I organized the annual meeting of the Dutch-Flemish Political Science Association (het politicologenetmaal).
In 2008 I organized the bi-annual meeting of the Dutch Society of Legal Philosophy, 18-19 April 2008.
